Romanian Language Day

Symbolically held on 31 August, to match the date of the Republic of Moldova’s similar “Our Language” celebration, to emphasise that Romanian is spoken not only within the country’s borders, but also beyond them. “Our Language” dates from 1990, with “Romanian Language Day” following in 2013.
